About Tyjo's Fabrics

Tyjo’s Fabrics has been selling top quality cottons for over 20 years in retail shops from the Lower Mainland to the sunny Okanagan in beautiful BC, Canada. We believe all the labor put into your quilts deserves fabrics that will stand much-loved wear and the test of time.

The owner, Sherry Ellis, has been sewing for 45 years from custom ladies clothing, piecework for women’s designers to children’s clothing sold at boutiques across Canada to the newest love of all things quilting – from piecework to appliqué. A visit to the shop offers much experience to your sewing questions.

Tyjo’s Fabrics carries a variety many of the current “flavors” of fabrics from 1930’s, to batiks, to bright children’s prints, shabby chics, many basics and background colors, to our favorite Reproduction/Civil War  prints. We boast the largest collection of Jo Morton fabrics in BC.

The newest addition to Tyjo’s Fabrics is the wonderful selection of hand-dyed 100% wools created by a local artist for wool appliqué projects.
